Michał Parzuchowski

I am a social psychologist working as an Associate Professor at the Center for Research on Cognition and Behavior at SWPS University in Sopot, Poland. I have also held a postdoctoral position with the Psycholinguistique & Psychologie Sociale Appliquée team at the University of Fribourg.

I teach Social Psychology and Person Perception at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I am a strong advocate of open access and open science, and I strive to make science more accessible to the public. My research combines controlled experiments with large-scale international collaborations to examine how subtle cues — such as facial expressions, gestures, language, and embodied experiences — shape moral judgments, trust, and perceptions of honesty.

Across my work, I seek to integrate micro-level processes of social cognition with large-scale societal challenges, including misinformation, environmental concern, and science communication.
