Michał Parzuchowski

I am a social psychologist working as an Associate Professor at the Center for Research on Cognition and Behavior at SWPS University in Sopot, Poland. I have also held a postdoctoral position with the Psycholinguistique & Psychologie Sociale Appliquée team at the University of Fribourg.

I teach Social Psychology and Person Perception at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. I am a strong advocate of open access and open science, and I strive to make science more accessible to the public. My research examines how subtle cues – such as language, gestures, facial expressions and other embodied experiences – shape various judgments, feelings of trust, and person perception. I seek to integrate those micro-level processes of social cognition with large-scale challenges (including misinformation, environmental concern, and science communication).
